There are archetypes of sound.
Qualities of vocal expression that touch into the primordial
vibrations upon which the origins of language were formed.
These sounds are, in a sense, living aspects of consciousness.
When we tap into them, they teach us. Quite literally
guiding us into the evolution and opening of the throat chakra.
The larynx is at its highest potential, an organ of creation:
'In the beginning was the Word'…we
en-chant…we cast a spell…
The class explores these
mysteries and is also developing into a choir.
A sound tool to be used for the benefit of peace, harmony and healing

both individual and collective.
My background in sound began in infancy - I sang
before I spoke.
My path involved conservatories, cathedrals, TV, touring,
singing in and conducting choirs of many kinds. It took me through
Rudolf Steiner’s mystery schools, Waldorf schools, Indian ashrams,
interspecies sound explorations as well as recording studios, concert
halls. I have taught numerous individual students and
workshop groups. I have been a music therapist since
1974 and have been teaching sound and voice for over 30 years
My youngest students were about 3, my oldest is
83 years old
I have experienced the power of sound to heal both physical and
supra physical issues. Most of the miracles that I have
witnessed were sound based. I am in awe of this power that
we carry within us.
I would be enchanted to witness your voice acquiring some of its
potential
to heal, strengthen and beautify our world.
At this time in history, we have a use
for the
miraculous.

It is necessary for this class that you are able
to hold a tune, that you have an open
mind and a willingness to let go, for a while, of any
preconceptions you have about singing, even if you are a famous rock
star or opera singer. You must be willing to show up
for each session, on time and present, body mind and soul.
It does not matter if you are a professional singer (there will be solo
opportunities etc) or completely new to singing and to sounding
(there will be wonderful simple parts) so long as you are sure in
your heart that you wish to become part of a living instrument on behalf
of peace on earth and harmony within yourself.
You will acquire sound tools that will stay with
you and continue to help you to grow throughout your life as a singer, a
speaker and a human on the path. You
will participate in exquisite harmony and chants that heal both the
singer and the listener. You will have the opportunity to
sing in ceremonial community events and eventually, to
experience the rigors and rewards of recording studios.
Songs will be sung that have both eco-political
content (pro-peace, pro-biosphere),
non-sectarian ‘spiritual’ content and anthems to encourage and inspire.
We will explore soundscapes and experimental improvisation
and touch together the joy that comes from focused discipline and
playful creativity.
The events will be held in Central Maui

I spent about 10 life-changing hours with
Jaiia Earthschild. In that time I learned ways I never dreamed existed
